Welcome to the official Kids Again Foundation blog! We’re so glad you’re here.
At KAF, our mission is simple but profound: we believe that every child deserves the chance to heal, grow, and just be a kid again—especially those affected by sexual abuse and trauma. Through trauma-informed programming, our organization works to connect children and families to life-giving extracurricular activities—whether that’s dance, soccer, art, or summer programs—as part of their healing journey.
Meet the Founder
KAF was founded by Krystaelynne Sanders Diggs, a passionate trauma-informed educator, author, and advocate who believes that healing isn’t linear—but it is possible. With a background in both public service and storytelling, Krystaelynne created KAF as a bridge between systems and care, between hurt and hope.
What’s Ahead
We’re currently preparing for some exciting expansions, including:
- The launch of our youth sponsorship program to fund extracurricular healing activities
- Piloting trauma-informed sensory play kits and safe space resources
- Collaborating with community partners across North County and Greater San Diego
What to Expect from This Blog
Every month, we’ll alternate between:
- Program updates and behind-the-scenes news
- Research spotlights on trauma-informed care, neuroscience, and youth resilience
- Stories of healing, creativity, and community
Whether you’re a parent, provider, educator, or simply someone who cares—you’re welcome here. Healing is a community effort, and we’re grateful you’re part of ours.
With care,
The Kids Again Foundation Team
